The Angel Gabriel from Heaven Came, also known as Gabriel’s Message, is a traditional Christmas carol based on the biblical story of the Angel Gabriel announcing to Mary that she would give birth to Jesus. The English version was translated by Sabine Baring-Gould from an old Basque folk song. Its gentle melody and reverent lyrics make it one of the most beloved Advent and Christmas hymns.
