Jorden rundt på 8 minutter består av fire satser som beskriver typisk tradisjonell musikk fra fire verdensdeler; Europa, Asia, Afrika og Amerika. 1. Sats er inspirert av Europas kongehus, slott og deres historiske betydning for klassisk musikk. 2. sats beskriver et stort kaotisk marked I Kina med mange forskjellige varer. 3. Sats er inspirert av afrikansk folkemusikk og skal beskrive en av Afrikas flotte savanner. 4. sats er inspirert av Amerikas ville vesten med cowboyer og hester.

Around the World in 8 minutes is a four-movement suite inspired by traditional music from four continents: Europe, Asia, Africa and America. The first movement is inspired by the royals, their castles and their importance for the history of classical music. The second movement describes a chaotic marked in China with all kinds of goods. The third movement is inspired by African folk music and describes a beautiful African savannah. The fourth movement is inspired by the wild west with cowboys and horses.
