Monumentis a song by the Norwegian music group KEiiNO, known for their distinctive blend of pop and traditional joik. The group consists of Tom Hugo, Alexandra Rotan, and Sámi joiker Fred Buljo. Monument was released in 2021. The song’s lyrics are about the importance of memories and heritage, and how people can leave traces that last long after they are gone. Monument explores the idea of how memories and actions can stand as monuments for future generations. The music video is as impressive as the song itself. It shows beautiful Norwegian landscapes and highlights both modern and traditional elements.
The arrangement was written by Bjørn Morten Kjærnes for Alexandra Rotan and a mixed school choir under the direction of Stein Wilsbeck.
This event therefore includes:
In addition to vocals, it is possible with various instrumental soloists in both C, Bb and Eb
It comes with slightly simpler sub-parts, such as Super Flute, Super Bb Clarinet, Super Alto Sax, Super Trumpet and a Super Euphonium/Trombone part. These follow their instrument groups more than the traditional super-parts and are almost like a 3rd part, but with limitations in scope and where the most difficult parts are simplified or removed.
There are a number of percussion voices (Percussion 1 and 2 can be played by four pieces) so there are a total of 8 different percussion voices possible. But it can also work with just a drum kit.
There is both a Piano/Synth and an El. Bass voice if you want to use it, but the arrangement also works well without it, if you have some other bass instruments.
