1. Who we are
Learn Your Part is operated by Learn Your Part AS, a company registered in Norway. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Learn Your Part AS, and "you" refers to the person using the service.
2. What the service is
Learn Your Part is an online service that helps musicians rehearse. It provides access to recordings, individual instrument parts and related material, so you can practise your own part alongside the rest of the ensemble.
Some material is available without a paid subscription. The rest requires an active subscription, either paid by you personally or paid on your behalf by an organization you belong to.
3. Your account
You need an account to use the service. You must give accurate information when you register, keep your password confidential, and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has gained access to your account. You are responsible for activity carried out under your account.
Accounts are personal. Do not share your login with other people — if an organization needs access for several people, each person should have their own account.
4. Subscriptions, prices and payment
Subscriptions run month to month. The price that applies to you is shown before you enter any payment details, and depends on the country you register from. Prices are shown including or excluding VAT as indicated at the point of purchase.
Payment is collected in advance for each month, using the payment method you provide. Payment processing is handled by Stripe; we do not store your full card details ourselves.
If your organization pays for your membership, you will not be charged personally for the period that cover applies.
We may change prices. If we do, we will tell you in advance, and the change will apply from your next billing period — never retroactively.
5. Cancelling
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your billing settings. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again after that.
If you are a consumer in Norway or the EU/EEA, you also have a statutory right of withdrawal for distance purchases. Because this is a digital service that starts immediately, that right may be limited once you have begun using the paid content — contact us and we will deal with any request fairly.
6. How you may use the material
The music, recordings and other material in the service are protected by copyright and are licensed to us by composers, rights holders and collecting societies. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use that material for your own rehearsal and study.
You may not download, copy, redistribute, publicly perform, broadcast or make the material available to others outside the service, or attempt to circumvent any technical protection. Doing so may breach both these terms and the rights of the underlying rights holders.
7. Material you upload
Organizations can upload their own material. If you upload something, you confirm that you have the right to do so, and you remain responsible for it. You keep ownership of what you upload; you grant us only the permission needed to store it and make it available to the people in your organization who are meant to have access.
We may remove uploaded material that appears to infringe someone else's rights or breaches these terms.
8. Availability
We work to keep the service running reliably, but we cannot promise it will always be available or entirely free of faults. We may occasionally need to interrupt the service for maintenance, and we may change or discontinue features over time.
9. Ending access
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is used to infringe copyright, or where payment repeatedly fails. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put things right.
10. Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer under Norwegian or EU/EEA law, or excludes our liability for death, personal injury, fraud or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Beyond that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Each version has a version number and date. If we make a material change, we will ask you to review and accept the new version the next time you use the service, and we keep a record of which version you accepted and when.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. If we cannot resolve a dispute directly, it may be brought before the Norwegian courts. As a consumer you may also be entitled to bring a complaint before the Norwegian Consumer Authority or an equivalent body in your own country.
